The Canadian Computing Competition (CCC) is an annual computer programming competition for middle school students around the world sponsored by the University of Waterloo, Canada. The purpose of the competition is to provide an opportunity to test the ability to analyze, design and program algorithms. The competition was organized by the Center for Mathematics and Computer Education (CEMC) of the University of Waterloo, the world's largest mathematics school. It began in 1963 and has a history of running for 60 years. More than 300,000 students from all over the world have participated in the competition, with far-reaching international implications. Why take part in the CCC Competition? The CCC Competition has become an important indicator and reference for admission to various majors in the School of Mathematics and Software Engineering in the University of Waterloo, and has also become an important assessment standard for students applying for scholarships around Canada (ranging from $1,000 to $8,000).
