About the Event

Looking for an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a STEAM setting while making a difference in the lives of young students? Our STEAM Summer Camp is seeking enthusiastic volunteers in grades 9 and above to join our team! As a volunteer, you will assist our instructors in distributing supplies, supporting camp attendees, and running engaging activities.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Instructors, volunteers are required to:

  • Act as a role model at camps and events
  • Support instructors and engage with participants during volunteering hours
  • Develop a STEM-Themed activity once during the camp week
  • Follow safety and risk management policies and ensure every participant is safe and having fun
  • Help with camp material prep work
  • Perform other duties, as requested by the Instructors

Qualities we look for in volunteers:

  • Enjoy working with kids (experience working with kids is an asset – make sure to mention any experience working with kids in your resume)
  • Interested in science and engineering
  • Independent and reliable but also able to work as part of a team
  • Regularly available for at least 3 hours a week during May to August

Don't miss out on this chance to make a positive impact and enhance your resume - apply now to join our team at STEAM Summer Camp!

Supervision:

Volunteers will be supervised by Camp Instructors during volunteering hours. Volunteers will maintain communication with the Volunteer Student Assistants regarding training, scheduling, reference letters, and other camp-related questions.
