Sager Education STEAM Summer Camp is seeking enthusiastic volunteers in grades 9- University students to join our team! As a volunteer, you will assist our instructors in distributing supplies, supporting camp attendees, and running engaging activities.

About the Event
Looking for an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a STEAM setting while making a difference in the lives of young students? Our STEAM Summer Camp is seeking enthusiastic volunteers in grades 9 and above to join our team! As a volunteer, you will assist our instructors in distributing supplies, supporting camp attendees, and running engaging activities.
Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Instructors, volunteers are required to:
- Act as a role model at camps and events
- Support instructors and engage with participants during volunteering hours
- Develop a STEM-Themed activity once during the camp week
- Follow safety and risk management policies and ensure every participant is safe and having fun
- Help with camp material prep work
- Perform other duties, as requested by the Instructors
Qualities we look for in volunteers:
- Enjoy working with kids (experience working with kids is an asset – make sure to mention any experience working with kids in your resume)
- Interested in science and engineering
- Independent and reliable but also able to work as part of a team
- Regularly available for at least 3 hours a week during May to August

Supervision:
Volunteers will be supervised by Camp Instructors during volunteering hours. Volunteers will maintain communication with the Volunteer Student Assistants regarding training, scheduling, reference letters, and other camp-related questions.
Eligibility:
We are accepting students who are currently completing grades 9-12, as well as university students (although priority will be given to high school students). Suitable candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
